The problem

Suspected and unknown levels of contamination in a landfill site.
We were only permitted to draw off a certain volume per hour of leachate and only able to drop the leachate levels within the cell by predetermined levels set by our customer.

The solution

We installed an air driven leachate pump to pump materials from different cells within the site continually sampling the leachate quality. When the tanker was loaded a suitable treatment route was sourced and the contaminated material was tankered off site.

Our staff were based on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 6 weeks.

Our customer ended up with all the information he required to make a long term decision regarding the site.
